I use a sugar scrub every week to help remove dead skin, and I thought it would be fun to try creating a DIY version that both hydrates and has the most festive aroma! With an exfoliant available in your cupboard, coconut oil transforms into a DIY body scrub that’s both moisturising and exfoliating at the same time. This DIY Chocolate Coconut Body Scrub requires just 5 minutes and four ingredients.

For the holidays or any time of year, this is a present beautiful idea! You may double or quadruple the recipe to create plenty for all of your friends and family. It’s a simple and affordable hostess gift or secret Santa present to slap a label on and carry with you!

Yes, this is a food item! But we don’t suggest this for anything other than a body scrub, even though it smells delicious. For the love of everything holy, we’re going to experiment with a few different iterations of this body scrub and share them all with you shortly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sugar (brown or coconut)
  • 1/2 cup room temperature coconut oil (no need to melt).
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • Any essential oil you want may be added to one teaspoon.

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients with a spoon in a medium bowl until well-combined.
  2. Please put it in a jar with a tight-fitting cover and apply it to your body once or twice a week.

Notes

We mixed all of the ingredients with room temperature coconut oil for our experiment, and it worked well!
