To make McDonald’s Vanilla Iced Coffee, you just need a few items. It is very easy, and all the ingredients can be found in most major retailers. You’ll spend a few more dollars upfront to buy the ingredients, but when you see how many servings you can make at home, you’ll quickly find that you’re getting all the benefits of iced coffee without the price of iced coffee McDonald’s.

If you are on a low-calorie diet, you will want to make the sugar-free version. If you don’t mind sugar, you can use it in place of sugar-free syrup. The caloric value will be higher or lower, depending on your consumption and your caloric goals.

To make that flavour and feel sugar-free while still having a lot of vanilla flavour, I have found that using this syrup is the best solution. The syrup is usually the hardest to find, but it can also be purchased on Amazon. It’s usually cheaper than the typical McDonalds iced coffee price because you can get more servings for the same amount of money.

I’ll take it to step by step, including the coffee. I found that coffee was the only area I needed to adapt to. I like to drink plain black coffee in the morning and prefer smooth coffee.

However, it was not the right coffee for this recipe. Instead, you’ll want a dark, full-bodied coffee to work with!

We personally love Folgers Gourmet Supreme Dark Roast. However, I suggest that you start with your usual morning coffee if you are making coffee at home.

Now is the time to create that McDonald’s iced coffee you love so much without the cost of McDonald’s iced coffee! Remember that all of the ingredients can be found in most major retailers.

  • 1/8 cup Torani flavoring syrup (We love unsweetened French vanilla, which can be found in the coffee section).
  • 1/4 cup half and half (use the original; if you use fat-free, it’s up to you, but maybe not that great!)
  • 1 cup of your cold coffee
  • 2 cups of ice

Note: Although we think 1/4 cup of half and half is the perfect amount for us, you can add more if you want a creamier feel.

  • 1/2 cup Torani flavoring syrup (vanilla)
  • 1 half cup and a half
  • 4 cups of cold coffee

For those days when you want a bit of luck … try Caramel Iced Coffee!

PREPARE: To make this version of McDonalds Iced Coffee, you’ll start by making your coffee in your coffeemaker. I usually make the same amount of coffee every morning (I start with 12 cups of cold water and add 3/4 cup of ground coffee to my coffee maker)

COLD: Once the coffee is brewed, I put the pot directly in the fridge to chill for a few hours (usually 2 hours 20 minutes is perfect). Since it’s made over high heat, it will take a while to cool down.

MIX: When the coffee has cooled, add the syrup and half and half (you may need to make it in a larger container). Mix well. Add ice. That’s it!

Tip: Once cooled, I usually transfer the coffee to used water bottles and store them in the fridge so that I can wash the coffee maker and prepare it for the next day. A coffee maker usually produces three bottles of water. This makes it easy to use and store. I also make coffee every day to make sure I have a little on hand when needed.

According to their website, the calories in McDonalds iced coffee range from 100 to 260 calories, depending on how you prepare it and the flavor you choose.

McDonalds iced coffee calories for unsweetened iced coffee are about 100 calories for an average drink and 130 for a large drink. Ours is very similar.

You can easily find out the exact calorie count in your drink by measuring the amount of syrup you use, as well as the half and half that you use. (You can use a full cream if you prefer, but don’t cut out the added saturated fat.)

The calories in McDonalds iced coffee can vary depending on who makes the drink that day, but when you make it at home you have much more control over the calories, allowing you to stick to a percentage. Healthy calories per day, based on your needs. Keep in mind that your daily values may be higher depending on how you do it and what you eat.
