Instructions

Get the Ingredients ready:

  • Mince the garlic and slice the onion.
  • Prepare the toppings you choose, including lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and any others you choose.

Cook the beef ground:

  • Heat a small amount of oil over medium-high heat in a big pan.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook for two to three minutes until transparent.
  • Once aromatic, add the minced garlic and simmer for 30 seconds.
  • Use a spatula to incorporate the ground beef and break it up. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until well cooked and browned.

Spice up the Beef:

  • Mix thoroughly after adding the taco spice to the cooked beef.
  • After adding the water, stir the mixture. After the liquid has decreased and the beef is seasoned, allow it to simmer briefly.

Prepare the Tacos:

  • Taco shells or tortillas should be heated as directed on the packaging.
  • Start by placing a tablespoon of seasoned ground beef in the center of each taco.
  • Add toppings like chopped cilantro, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and salsa.

Serve and Take Note:

  • Put the tacos on a serving dish after they have been prepared.
  • Wedge pieces of lime on the side to serve with tacos for squeezing over.
  • Enjoy your tasty tacos made with ground beef!

Keep in mind that you can make these tacos as you choose. You can include items like guacamole, black beans, rice, or several kinds of salsa for added taste and diversity. Have fun experimenting with the ideal taco mix for your palate.

Notes

Seasoning for Tacos:

Even while the recipe calls for a packet of pre-made taco spice, you can experiment with your seasoning concoctions. This enables you to adjust the salt and spice levels to suit your tastes.

Options for Tortillas:

Pick from a selection of taco shells or tortillas, including fluffy flour and crunchy corn tortillas. If necessary, gluten-free versions are also offered.

Customization:

Tacos’ adaptability is what makes them so appealing. Feel free to alter the toppings in any way you like.

Consider including guacamole, sliced onions, pickled jalapenos, or even a spritz of fresh lime juice for an additional flavor boost.

Leaner Meat:

For a healthy alternative, choose lean ground beef or even ground turkey. Remember that the filling’s overall texture and flavor are influenced by the type of meat used.

Vegan/Vegetarian Version:

You can substitute seasoned tofu, tempeh, or beans for ground beef for vegetarians and vegans.

Prepare Ahead of Time:

Prepare the taco seasoning and chop the vegetables to speed up the cooking process. Pre-cooking the beef and reheating it as necessary on hectic days can also save time.

Serving Advice:

For a complete supper, serve these tacos with Mexican rice, refried beans, or a crisp green salad. For those who like their food with a little more spice, don’t forget to provide a variety of hot sauces or salsas.

Storage:

For up to three days, seasoned ground beef leftovers can be kept in the fridge in an airtight container. Before use, slightly reheat. If storing leftovers, keep taco shells and toppings apart for improved texture.

Safety of Food

To avoid a foodborne illness, ensure the ground beef is adequately cooked to a safe internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
